Who are we?
Growing up in Lubbock, Texas – a flat, dry, brown cotton farming mecca, it’s no small miracle that Alex is now engaged in his passion for sailing. After 15 years as an executive in the mobile phone industry in the USA and Caribbean. His wife Cheryl, also a native Texan who grew up racing Prindle catamarans on Galveston Bay near Houston, has the same enthusiasm for sailing and Caribbean living, and after a long career in the IT industry she is now enjoying the sailing life. They now share their passion for sailing with others as ASA instructors.
We're very excited that Horizon Yacht here in Grenada has decided to do some continuing education with there local staff. Alex and Cheryl will be presenting a 3-day ASA 101 course for the both office and dock staff during December 2010.
Alex and Cheryl teach sailing courses through the American Sailing Association for Basic Keelboat Sailing (ASA 101), Basic Coastal Cruising (ASA 103), Bareboat Chartering (ASA 104), and Cruising Catamarans (ASA 114). Our focus is teaching adults sailing who would like to charter or cruise in the future.
